• State: Departments of Correction, Probation and Parole Boards, Attorney Generals, state law enforcement departments
• County: Municipal Courts, District Courts, Justices of the Peace, County Sheriffs, District Attorneys
• City: City Police, City Courts
NOTE: Many areas of the country are not computerized and may be excluded. The types of warrants contained in this database range from misdemeanor warrants for bad checks, traffic violations, failures to appear, and unpaid fines; to felony warrants for parole or probation violations, robbery, rape, forgery, kidnapping and murder.
This database also contains valuable historical information, as warrants are not removed from the database once they’ve been served, therefore it is important for researchers to verify that a warrant is active with the reporting agency. Persons in this database may already be in the custody of a law enforcement agency. Alias information on warrants may or may not be correct.
